Davis was convicted in 1991 shooting death of Mark MacPhail in Savannah Police in 1989. This is the fourth time in which Davis is set to be executed. His case has been before the courts for more than 20 years.

A group of Davis supporters in Chatham County, petitioned the office of the Chatham County district attorney Wednesday morning, urged him to act.
But on Tuesday night, Chisholm made it clear that he can not do anything to stop the execution.
